How much of what we call identity still belongs to us?

Perhaps what defines us is never truly still. It continues to be transformed by the environments we inhabit.

The identities that traverse this investigation do not represent people. They are traces produced through my artistic reading of each presence. What we encounter is not the individual, but what continues to reverberate after experience finds a new language.

Each work becomes the echo of a particular identity. It does not reproduce its experience, nor does it attempt to preserve it. Instead, it allows its traces to keep reverberating through poetry, photography, voice, movement, and visual language.

The events present in these works do not define this investigation. They are different points of observation from which the same question unfolds. Pandemics, conflict, isolation, hyperconnectivity, social media, fabricated identities, or any other contemporary condition matter less for the events themselves than for the ways they participate in the construction of who we become. The environment ceases to be a backdrop and becomes part of identity itself.

I am not interested in representing the human being. I am interested in understanding how environments produce identity, and how that identity continues to reverberate long after the experience itself has ended. Each work transforms this reading into its own visual language, preserving not the individual, but the traces of their persistence.

Perhaps identity has never been what we preserve.

Perhaps it has always been what continues to reverberate after the world has passed through us.

Quanto daquilo que chamamos identidade ainda nos pertence?

Talvez o que nos constitui nunca permaneça imóvel. Continua sendo transformado pelos ambientes que habitamos.

As identidades que atravessam esta investigação não representam pessoas. São vestígios produzidos pela leitura artística que faço de cada presença. O que vemos não é o indivíduo, mas aquilo que continua reverberando depois que sua experiência encontra uma nova linguagem.

Cada obra constitui o eco de uma identidade específica. Não reproduz sua experiência, nem procura fixá-la. Permite que seus vestígios continuem reverberando através do poema, da fotografia, da voz, do movimento e da linguagem visual.

Os acontecimentos presentes nas obras não definem esta investigação. São diferentes pontos de observação de uma mesma pergunta. Pandemias, conflitos, isolamento, hiperconectividade, redes sociais, perfis artificiais ou qualquer outra experiência contemporânea interessam menos pelos fatos que representam do que pela maneira como participam da construção daquilo que somos. O ambiente deixa de ser cenário para tornar-se parte da própria identidade.

Não procuro representar o humano. Interessa-me compreender como os ambientes produzem identidade e como essa identidade continua reverberando muito depois que a experiência termina. Cada obra transforma essa leitura em uma linguagem visual própria, preservando não o indivíduo, mas os vestígios de sua permanência.

Talvez a identidade nunca tenha sido aquilo que preservamos.

Talvez ela sempre tenha sido aquilo que continua reverberando depois que o mundo passa por nós.
